This is a comic that I’ve recently finished titled ‘Short Story Club’ with three sub-chapters that are neither a continuation or directly related, yet they’re intertwined, this is more ‘manga-like’ in terms of presentation and style but it utilizes that appearance to tell a narrative by also obscuring the narrative. It’s an anti-mystery at heart that features a central character who forcefully characterizes herself as a rational and intellectual detective, which comes at the cost of ultimately dehumanizing her dead (girl)friend as a ‘narrative device’. I’d describe it as being a ‘Twin Peaks’ but in comic.
